Irene Brown Harville was born on December 30, 1926 in Lutts, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Fin and Dora Stricklin Brown. On June 5, 1945 she was united in marriage to Robert Harville who preceded his wife in death on December 31, 2008.
Irene was a homemaker whose hobbies included gardening and quilting. Prior to moving to Savannah, she lived in the Gillis Mills and Big Ivy communities.
Mrs. Harville departed this life on March 28, 2015 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 2 months, 28 days.
She is survived by 2 children, Robert (Bud) Harville of Savannah, TN and Polly Ann Melson and her husband Hershel, of Savannah, TN; 7 grandchildren, Jeremy Dee Harville, Heather Magness and her husband Scott, Michael Harville and his wife Charity, Christopher Louis Harville and his wife Amber, Rita Kay Deatherage and her husband Ryan, Billy Miller and his wife Pamela, and Deena Harris Orr and her husband Cameron; and 16 great-grandchildren, Christopher Mickel Magness, Nicholas Magness, Abigail Magness, Patrick Gaastra, Isabella Deatherage, Jazmine Harville, Daniel Harville, Aubrey Harville, Dawson Harville, Evan Harville, Mason Harville, Cayden Harville, Joshua Miller, Jessica Medlin, Kaylee Burks, and Jacob Sisk.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Louis Harville; 5 brothers, Luther Brown, Woodrow Brown, Earldine Brown, Billy A. Brown, and John David Brown; 4 sisters, Lucille Hunt, Geraldine Clark, Bonnie Ricketts, and Marie Brown; and granddaughter, Amanda Robinson.
