Iva Lillace Thompson Folger

Iva Lillace Thompson Folger departed this life Friday, July 7, 2017 at Wayne Medical Center, Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 85 Years, 2 Months, 16 Days. She was born April 21, 1932 in Wayne County, TN, the daughter of the late Ira Ishmael Worth Thompsonand Walsie Nola Stults Thompson. She married Morris Winford Folger on September 8, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1994.

Mrs. Folger, a homemaker, was member of Highland Methodist Church .

Survivors, son, Douglas Folger of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Barbara Davis of Chapel Hill, TN, Beverly Prince and Belinda Graham both of Waynesboro, TN; grandchildren, Monica Gipson, Matthew and Micah Davis, Tammy Tipps, Braden Graham and Callie Faith Prince; great-grandchildren, Ben and EllieGrace Gipson, Kileyan Tipps; sister, Frances Parker of Durham, NC.

Besides her husband and parents, Mrs. Folger was preceded in death by sons, Dennis and David Folger; grandson, Shaun Folger and brother, Ellis (Chick) Thompson.

Services will be Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Ray Watkins and Philip McMurrin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Methodist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceburg (Wayne Co), Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors , Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Monday, July 10, 2017, 6:00--9:00 pm and Tuesday, July 11, 2017, 8:00 am until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chad Gobbell, Kyle Staggs, Braden Graham, Micah Davis, Chris Tipps and Kenric Gipson with Jada Jones, her little friend from church, as honorary pallbearer.
