J. R. Daniel of Collinwood, TN was born September 20, 1948 in Collinwood, TN, the son of the late Marvin and Gertie Berry Daniel.
Mr. Daniel was a retiree of Machinist Local #65 and was a member of the Millrock Freewill Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee.
Mr. Daniel departed this life on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at E. C. M. Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 65 Years, 3 Months, 19 Days.
He is survived by a son, Nathan Daniel of Lutts, TN; a daughter, Beth Rich and husband, Stephen of Collinwood, TN; two grandchildren, Makenzie and Gunner Rich; a brother, Harlan Ray Daniel of Collinwood, TN; a sister, Glenda Mae Thompson of Collinwood, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a special friend, Sandy.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Daniel was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Fay Daniel.
Services will be held on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Dennis Ray Daniel, Brian Thompson, Roger Hill, Billy Clyde Moore, Tim Powell, James C. (Sonny) Daniel, Gaylon Daniel, and Faron Daniel.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, January 10, 2014 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
