J. W. "Fifth-Wheel" Seat

J. W. "Fifth-Wheel" Seat departed this life on December 23, 2014 at Savannah Healthcare Nursing Home in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 years and 2 months. He was born on October 23, 1943, son to the late Thomas Franklin and Louise Horn Seat.

"Fifth-Wheel" was employed as a mail hauling truck driver at H. B. Phillips for 28 years. He lived in Hardin County for 45 years and loved to fish. He went to the "coffee shop" at River Heights Grocery very often to spend time with other old timers.

Mr. Seat is survived by his children, William Lloyd Seat, Sheila Williams, and Annette Bearden all of Savannah, Tennessee; his sister, Mary Elizabeth Freeman and her husband, Lee, of Troy, Tennessee; his life partner, Wilma Seat; his grandchildren, Melody Rossi of Italy, Ginger Prelle of Titusville, Florida, Donnie Lynn Cossey, Jr. of Savannah, Tennessee, and Kelly Jerrolds of Savannah, Tennessee; and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert Seat, William "Pete" Seat, Joe Seat, James "Ed" Seat, and Lillian Cooper; and his grandchild, Christopher A. Doyle.
