July 20, 1963 — October 15, 2015

James Allen (Jimmy) Cooksey departed this life on Thursday, October 15 at the age of 52 years, 2 months, 26 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on July 20, 1963, the son of Mary Nell Cooksey and the late James Monroe Cooksey.

Jimmy moved to Ft. Worth, Texas after High School and worked with his fathers construction company, Jim's Backhoe Service. He later owned his own business. He was a master with a backhoe, which he loved. He loved restoring cars and motorcycles but riding his Harley Davidson was his true passion. He belonged to several motorcycle clubs in his 20's. Jimmy was a friend to all and his home often lodged many that came by with no place to stay or down on their luck. He was always willing to share a sofa and what food he had.

He is survived by his daughter, Kaitlyn Rhea Cooksey of Adamsville, his mother, Mary Nell Cooksey of Savannah and a sister, Renee Harmon of Adamsville.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Monroe Cooksey; grandparents, Frank and Roxie Sawner of Savannah and Cleo and Emma Cooksey of Adamsville.
