Jackson, TN: James Harold Fletcher, age 63, passed away Friday night, September 20, 2013 at his home in South Jackson.
Mr. Fletcher was born and reared in Chester County, the Wilson School Community, the son of the late Billy Charles and Billye Faye Rhodes Fletcher.
He attended school at Chester County High where he played football and graduated in 1968. He attended U.T. Martin and married Gale Beshires in 1969. He was in the dairy farm business with his grandfather, father and brothers in the Wilson School Community and after 1973 at Medon, operating Fletcher Farms. They moved from dairy farming to row crop farming in 1976 until the present.
James played church league softball at Maple Springs Baptist Church for several years. He was a member of the Malesus Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Gale Beshires Fletcher of Jackson; two daughters, Jennifer Kinman and husband William of Medon and Hope Cornelison and husband Steve of Beech Bluff; four grandchildren, Abby Cornelison, Trae Cornelison, Jordan Hope Kinman and Ashley Jamison Kinman; two brothers, twin brother Joe Fletcher and wife Jackie of Henderson and Jerry Fletcher and wife Sherry of Jacks Creek and two sisters, Kay Wamble and husband Tony of Henderson and Alicia Duck and husband Jeff of Delaware.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Mark Cagle and Steve McCowan officiating and burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery in Chester County.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday evening.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Kidney Research.
