James Given

James Given was born in Ivydale, West Virginia on December 20, 1932 the son of the late Emory Allan and Lola Faye Given.On April 4, 1980 he was united in marriage to Joyce Fannin, who survives.Mr. Given received his Bachelor's Degree and worked at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. in Foreign Military Sales and as a night auditor for Bruton Motor Inn at Bruton, Alabama. He was an Air Force veteran of the Koran War. He was a very kind, helpful man,and a good teacher. He loved animals, golfing, and football. Mr. Given departed this life at Hardin Medical Center, Thursday, July 10, 2008 at the age of 75 years, 6 months, 20 days.In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: Christopher l. Given of Savannah, Tennessee, James Allan Given, and Michael Given both of Xenia, Ohio; a brother: Rod Given of West Virginia; four grandchildren.
