James Garfield (Jig) Olive

James Garfield (Jig) Olive departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Wayne Care Nursing Home in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 78 Years, 2 Months, 6 Days. He was born June 6, 1936 in Lauderdale County, AL the son of the late William Clifford Olive and Lela Bell Lard Olive McWilliams.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Omalene Olive and brother, William Thomas and Georgie Claude Olive and a half-sister, Fannie Cheeks.

Mr. Olive was a logger and is survived by sister, Mattie Moore of Cypress Inn, TN; half- sisters, Mildred Lavier of Port Herron, MI, Frances Liles of Lutts, TN, Betty Langford of Shelbyville, TN and Lora McWilliams of Nebraska and a half- brother, Doyle McWilliams of Cypress Inn, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Home Chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Olive Lane Cemetery, Lutts, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Stephen Olive, David Moore, Devie Olive, Cody Olive, Scott Olive, Jerry Don Bevis, Brad Langford and Dennis Bogus.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday, August 14, 2014 from 9 am until service time at the funeral home.
