James Everette Sheffield

JAMES EVERETTE SHEFFIELD
Finger, TN: James Everette Sheffield, age 79 passed away July 1, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in McNairy County, the son of the late Elijah Boss and Nola Melissa Davidson Sheffield. He graduated from Bethel Springs High School in 1955 and married Allie Faye Patterson in 1956 and they made their home in the Old Friendship Community. He worked at Brown Shoe Company for fifteen years and General Electric in Selmer for twenty five years. He was a member of the Little Hatchie Primitive Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Allie Faye Patterson Sheffield of Finger, TN; two sisters, Doris Whitten of Henderson and Mary Lee Wooley of Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Rodney Lynn Sheffield in 1978, six brothers, Amo, Millard, Avon, E.B., Elmo and H.C.; four sisters, Mandy Meeks, Duell Criss, Willie Criss and Lorine Cheshier.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Elder Steve Leggett and Elder Charles Whitten officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday.
