JAMIE WILLIAM ‘BOOTS’ PUSSER
Jamie William “Boots” Pusser went to be with his lord peacefully at his daughter’s home on Sunday April 26, 2015 at the age of 87 years and 2 weeks.
Boots was born in Chester County on April 12, 1928 to Noah Solmon “Sol” & Myrtle “Goff” Pusser.
Boots worked for Lonnie Roach Sawmill then for Lonnie’s sons Ted & Fred (Roach Brothers Sawmill) till his retirement in 1990’s. He loved to ride his mules & wagon, he also liked to garden. He would grow peas as he said “so the deer would have something to eat”.
He loved his grandkids and great grandkids.
Boots is survived by a daughter, Judy (Keith) Escue of Enville, TN, three grandchildren, Brittany Escue (Randy) Scott of Greenwood, MS, Johnathon (Emily) Kelley of Reagan, TN and Shannon (Daryl) Maness; 4 great grandchildren, Hayden Kelley of Reagan, TN Cody (Hailey) Maness of Lima, OH, Mitchell Maness of Finger, TN and James Maness of Enville, TN; one great great granddaughter, Preslie Maness of Lima, OH; and a nephew he raised, Ernest (Donna) Pusser of Huntingdon, TN; two sisters, Rachel Brasher of Enville, TN and Irene Alexander of Maryville, TN; one brother, Ward Pusser of Jackson, TN and a very large family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death beside his parents, two sisters, Lavelle Bushnell and Inez Moody and three brothers, Gilbert, Brice and Raymond Pusser.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 29, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel with Pastor Larry Holley and Chaplain Jonathan Cooksey officiating and burial will follow in Roby Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday.
