Jerry Neal Ernest

Jerry Neal Ernest was born February 21, 1949 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late James Burl and Velma Maydell Sweat Ernest.
Jerry was Baptist in faith and had served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Ernest departed this life on January 19, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 10 Months, 29 Days.
He is survived by a son, Nick Ernest of KY; two sisters, Bonnie Pickle of Selmer, TN, Mary Brewer and husband Chester of North Port, AL; a brother, Larry Ernest and wife Elizabeth of Stantonville, TN; a grandchild, Jacob Ernest; nieces and nephews, Kristie Whitaker, Alan Ernest, Darren Smith, Ricky Brewer and Teresa Mills; and a host of great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ernest was preceded in death by a brother, Linden Ernest and a nephew, Bryan Ernest.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st from 5:30 pm until 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee, with Chuck Castles officiating. Burial will follow in the West Shiloh Cemetery at Stantonville, Tennessee.
