Jesse Floyd Minatra of Waynesboro, TN was born December 12, 1938 in Corsicana, TX, the son of the late Jessie Willard and Emma Jewell Sinclair Minatra. Mr. Minatra departed this life on Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 79 years. He was a backhoe operator and a member of International Operating Engineers Union for 42 years and had lived in Watertown, South Dakota at one point.
Survivors include, a son, Jeffrey Douglas Minatra and wife, Shelley of Waynesboro, TN; daughters, Sheila Minatra Gray and husband, David of Nashville, TN and Megan Marjorie Minatra and fiance', Jake Shama of Council Bluffs, Iowa; sisters, Anita Harris and husband, Ken of Crawford, TX, Sandra Minatra and husband, Jim Bush of Waxahachi, TX, Verna Hudson and husband, Danny of Corsicana, TX; grandchildren, Keith Minatra, Amanda Quinter, Kayla Minatra, Alora Pope, and Drew Bunch; great-grandchildren, Caymen and Caroline Dickey and Olivia Quinter and nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Jay Clanton officiating. Burial will follow in the North Highland Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, Directing. Pallbearers will be Dan Cole, Keith (Kojack) Morgan, Brent Gallaher, Jimmy Taylor, Keith Hatcher and Marlon Fielder.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 10 am until service time at the funeral home.
