Joan Welch passed from this life at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the age of 72 years, 2 months and 8 days.
The daughter of Roy and Inez Faulkner Welch, she was born July 9, 1942 in Osceola, AR where she lived her entire childhood. She moved to Hardeman County and was most recently a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bolivar. She enjoyed planting flowers, working puzzles and loved dogs, especially Poodles.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Lorrie Stamey of Memphis, Mindy Scott and her husband Brad of Mississippi, and JoAnn Smith; 3 sons, Steve Manley and his wife Terry Dale of Middleton, Phillip Waco Manley, Sr. and his wife Sherry of Bolivar, and Paul Jeffrey Manley of Grand Junction; 8 grandchildren, Crystal Epperson, Stevie Manley, Jr., Casey Manley, Phillip Manley, Jr., Cari Ray, Dustin Duck, Taylor Scott, and Lauren Scott; 3 great grandchildren, Destiny Manley, R. J. Bryant, and Preston Manley; 4 sisters, Reba Campbell, Becky Winford, Lucy Welch, and Carol Gaylord; and 1 brother Eldon "Doc" Welch. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 7 brothers and sisters.
