JOANN SELLS
Henderson, TN: Mary Joann Hart Sells, age 80 passed away March 7, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born October 15, 1934 in Chester County near Enville and later moved to Henderson, the daughter, of the late William D. Hart and Clura Victory Hart Lindley. She graduated from Chester County High School in 1953. She married John David Sells June 6, 1953. They made their home most of their life in the New Friendship community. Mrs. Sells worked at Chester County Sportswear for thirty years. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church where she played the piano for many years.
She is survived by her husband, John David Sells of Henderson; a son, Randy Sells and wife June of Henderson and a daughter, Shelia Bedwell of Fort Meyers, FL; five grandchildren, Daniel Bedwell and wife Amanda, Joe David Sells, Brandon Sells, Shane Clayton and Justin Clayton; two great grandchildren Aria June Fitzgerald and Mirabelle Bedwell; a brother, Jack Hart of Ft. Meyers, FL.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Laward Hart.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ronnie Geary and Jim Koonce officiating and burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday.
