JOHN DAVID SELLS
Henderson, TN: John David Sells age 85 passed away March 21, 2015 at his home.
He was born November 17, 1929 in Madison County, near Five Points, the son of the late William Kent and Lula Mae Holder Sells. He attended Chester County Schools. He farmed as a young man and married Joann Hart June 6, 1953 and they made their home in the New Friendship Community. He worked at Chester County Farmers Co-op as a truck driver for twenty years, after his retirement he worked part-time for Chester County Sanitation Department. Mr. Sells was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church.
Mr. Sells is survived by a son, Randy Sells and wife June of Henderson; a daughter, Shelia Bedwell of Fort Myers, FL and five grandchildren, Daniel Bedwell and wife Amanda, Joe David Sells, Brandon Sells, Shane Clayton and Justin Clayton and two great-grandchildren, Aria June Fitzgerald and Mirabelle Bedwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Joann Hart Sells, March 7, 2015; three sisters, Delena Bain, Lucille Bain and Lona Mae King and two brothers, Cleo Sells, Bobby Glenn Sells.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Jim Koonce and Ronnie Geary officiating and burial in the New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel from 5 :00 PM to 9:00 PM on Monday.
