Johnnie Josephine (Jo) Morgan Caperton departed this life on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at the age of 78 years, 11 months, 4 days.
She was born in Olive Hill, Tennessee on February 20, 1936, the daughter of the late Luther Taft and Lethia O. Beckham Morgan. On May 30, 1953, she was united in marriage to Doug Caperton, who preceded his wife on June 3, 2009.
Mrs. Caperton was a seamstress at Savannah Manufacturing. She had lived in the Swift Community, Bucktown Community, Walkertown Community, Beckham Holler, and Morgan Holler. She was a member of the Russell Chapel Church.
She is survived her daughters, Becky Matlock and husband, Danny Matlock, and Lesia Caperton all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Robert Caperton, Shawn Caperton, Holly Smith, Chris Matlock, Autumn Conner, and Richard Caperton; great grandchildren, Jessie Caperton, Emma Caperton, Blake Dodd, Sophia Caperton, Layla Caperton, Timothy Matlock, Kaylee Matlock, Arianna Conner, and Camry Conner.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Caperton; sisters, Berniece Dowdy and Dorothy Cook.
