Mr. Walton passed away Saturday morning, September 16, 2017 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Hardeman County, he was the son of the late Charles Albert Walton, Sr. and Mable Irene Shinault Walton. He spent his early years in the Bolivar area before moving to Indiana where he lived for 35 years. There he worked as a switchman for Inland Steel in Hobart. Upon his retirement in 1994, he returned to Bolivar.
Mr. Walton was a member of the Parrans Chapel Baptist Church and in his spare time he enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking (especially his famous homemade rolls) and raising chickens.
He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Irene Vance of Bolivar and Jane W. Jones of Bartlett, TN; and five brothers, Charles A., Jr., Robert Harris, Fred, Ted and Thomas Walton, all of Bolivar.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Opal W. Martin; and three brothers, James J., John William and Frank Walton.
