Joyce Marie Rich Skelton

Joyce Marie Rich Skelton was born April 30, 1936 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late Archie W. and Goldie Olive Victory Horton. Mrs. Skelton died Sunday, August 2, 2015 at her home near Collinwood, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 3 Months, 3 Days. She was a retired factory worker and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, James Thomas Rich and Walter Skelton. In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Skelton was preceded in death by a son, Barry Rich, an infant brother, and brothers, Wendell and Paul Horton.

She is survived by three sons, Larry Rich and wife Barbara of Florence, AL, James Rich of Collinwood, TN and Troy Rich of Iron City, TN, six daughters, Janie Reeves and husband Johnny of Portland, TN, Joan Thompson and husband Arlie of Collinwood, TN, Joy Sloan and husband Bill of Shelbyville, TN, Peggy Victory of Collinwood, TN, Rose Whitehead of Cypress Inn, TN, and Edna McFall of Lutts, TN, 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren, stepson, Ricky Skelton and wife Ann of Waynesboro, TN, and stepdaughter, Marilyn Welch and husband Donnie of Adamsville, TN, a brother, David Horton of Westpoint, TN and a sister, Mildred Robbins of Collinwood, TN, several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood with Jason Love and Greg Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery near Cypress Inn, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Ronald McFall, Kelvin McFall, Greg McFall, Stanley Whitehead, Johnathan Reeves, Shannon Rich, Brandon Rich, and Steven Rich.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6:00-9:00 PM and Tuesday morning from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
