Mr. Juan Dixon was born December 18, 1973, in Selmer, Tennessee, to Edith N, Dixon and the late William A. Winters. He departed this life on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 44.
Juan gave his life to Christ at an early age and joined Saint John Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Hardin County High School in 1992. He then went to Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, where he played football and pledged to Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, where he received the special Greek name, “Squeaky.” Juan had many hobbies which included: playing football, basketball, and baseball, fishing, cooking, playing video games, installing stereo systems, and disassembling and reassembling all electronic devices. Juan loved all of his children, as well as all children he came in contact with. Juan had a big personality and was very outgoing. He had a big, loving heart and didn’t meet a stranger. Juan had many nicknames: Shoney, Big Boy, Squeaky, Dirty, Fat Boy, and Big Cuz.
Juan is survived by 3 children, Kelsey Dixon of Counce, Tennessee, DreLynn Dixon of Memphis, Tennessee, and NaKelynn Dixon of Savannah, Tennessee; six brothers, Keith Winters of Nashville, Tennessee, Toyce (Andria) Dixon of Florence, Alabama, Jordan Weatherspoon of Savannah, Tennessee, Terrance (Kamela) Arnold of Henderson, Tennessee, Julius Toliver of South Bend, Indiana, and Dontillos Toliver of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; six sisters, Chequita Winters of Nashville, Tennessee, Sonya Green of Dayton, Ohio, Cindy “Swan” Davis of Savannah, Tennessee, Sylvia “Net” Davis of Savannah, Tennessee, Adrian “Agie” Benton of Murray, Kentucky, and Shana Toliver of Jackson, Tennessee; mother, Edith N. Weatherspoon of Savannah, Tennessee; step-father, Lloyd “Jr” Johnson of Savannah, Tennessee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Juan was preceded in death by his father, William A. Winters; two grandmothers, Hattie Dixon and Chaney Winters; great grandmother, Annie Dixon; two sisters, Kiawasha “Kiki” Weatherspoon and Kizi Davis; two grandfathers, Harry “Bud” Casey and William T. Winters; and two beloved best friends, Michael Casey and Jerry “Pookie” Casey.
