Judy Gale Thrasher McNeese

Judy Gale Thrasher McNeese of Iron City, TN was born October 2, 1950 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Rufus Curn and Florence Arnett Thrasher. She married James Frank (Jim) McNeese on December 26, 1970.

Mrs. McNeese had worked as an insurance clerk and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Collinwood, Tennessee and departed this life on Friday, August 4, 2017 at her home at the age of 66 Years, 10 Months, 2 Days.

She is survived by her husband, James Frank (Jim) McNeese of Iron City, TN;
a son, James Scott McNeese and wife, Kim of Centerville, TN; a daughter, Jill LaRae McNeese Thrasher and husband, Jeff of Iron City, TN; grandchildren, Brayden, Ethan and Jake Thrasher and Brittany McNeese and fiance', Colton Casteel; great-grandchildren, Talon Rikard and Noah Casteel; a brother, Donnie Thrasher and wife, Shelia of Florence, AL; several nieces and nephews and best friend, Joyce Hanback.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. McNeese was preceded in death by brothers, Billy, Paul and Bobby Thrasher and sisters, Marpline Jones and Margaret Dial.

Services will be Monday, August 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Stephen Leach officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Pallbearers will be Brayden Thrasher, Ethan Thrasher, Jake Thrasher, Colton Casteel, John Dial and Paul Thrasher, Jr. and Sherman Martin will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 6 to 9 pm and Monday, August 7, 2017 from 11 am until service time at the funeral home.
