Judy Staggs Peacock

Judy Staggs Peacock was born February 25, 1948 in Waynesboro, TN the daughter of the late Carl and Louise Duren Staggs. Mrs. Peacock died Friday, March 27, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 67 Years, 1 Month, 2 Days. Judy, a homemaker, was married to Joe (Rick) Peacock July 26, 1982 and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband Joe (Rick) Peacock of Waynesboro, TN,
son, Jimmy Claridy of Summerdale, AL, daughters, Melissa Daniel of Cypress Inn, TN and Tonya Claridy of Waynesboro, TN, stepson, Joseph Peacock of Waynesboro, TN, stepdaughter, Kristal Lee of Robertsdale, AL, 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Barbara Ann Wilkerson of Nashville, TN, Linda Kay Wooten of Shelbyville, TN, and Deborah Sue Smith of Waynesboro, TN, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs Peacock was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Angel Lucas, five brothers, Carlton, Raymond, Roy, Floyd, and Billy Staggs, three sisters, Edith Nell Smelser, Brenda Farris, and Shirley Frazier.

Services will be held Sunday, March 29, 2015 at 4:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Waynesboro with Dewayne Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland United Methodist Church Cemetery near Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers are Coty Beckham, Casey Beckham, Eric Sherrill, Kevin Sherrill, Shannon Sherrill, and Shawn Skelton. Visitation will be Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM and Sunday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations be given to the family.
