Katherine Aldridge Risner

Mrs. Katherine Aldridge Risner departed this life on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation Center in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 96 Years, 7 Months, 5 Days. She was born February 2, 1921 in Wayne County, TN the daughter of the late Mark and Ludie Whitehead Aldridge.

She was united in marriage to Dallas Risner on January 11, 1944. Mr. Risner preceded her in death on May 8, 2010.

Mrs. Katherine was a homemaker and a member of the Green River Baptist Church.

She is survived by son, James Risner, daughter, Martha Nell Lowe both of Waynesboro, TN., 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren 1 great great grandchild.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Risner was preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Cornelius, Retha Dabbs and Virginia Harper, brother, Hillard Aldridge.

Services will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Mark Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 5:30 pm-8:00 pm, Sunday, September 10, 12:30 pm until service time @ Shackelford Funeral Home, Waynesboro.
