Mrs. Kay Wilburn departed this life Monday afternoon, July 1, 2013 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
The widow of Calvin 'Tip' Wilburn, who died on November 2, 2008 after almost 33 years of marriage, she was a homemaker. She was born Feburary 4, 1947 in Shelby County, daughter of the late Emmit and Durell Howell Floyd and lived most of her childhood there. She spent most of her adult life in Hardeman County where she worked in her home as a caretaker. She also loved to work in her flowers and enjoyed making sure that her family and friends were taken care of. Mrs. Wilburn was a Baptist in belief.
Survivors include three sons, Chris (Nina) Floyd, Greg Wilburn and Jeremy Wilburn, all of Middleton; a sister, Nancy Wilson of Cleveland, MS; and two granddaughters, Madison Floyd and Elizabeth Floyd. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Floyd and Mike Floyd.
