KRISTY JEAN LANGFORD, 47, of Selmer,TN.,passed away on April 25th, 2018 at 9:20p.m. at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She leaves a son, Christian of Selmer, TN. Her parents, Bobby and Christine Stansell Langford of Henderson, TN, and her beloved dog, Cutie.
Kristy was born on October 17,1970 at Henderson Clinic in Henderson,TN.
She was homeschooled through the 6th grade. During this time,she traveled with her parents on missionary trips to other countries and evangelistic trips here in the states. She attended N.W.M.E Christian School of Henderson,TN., from 7th grade and graduated in 1988.
Kristy was self-employed. She had her own cleaning business for more than 25 years. She made many close friends during this time with the people that she cleaned for.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Henderson, TN. She was one of the song leaders, the pianist and choir director. She decorated the church building, keeping it cleaned and well maintained. She loved Jesus and her church family.
Kristy was a very intelligent and level headed person that seemed to know all the right answers for the people that came to her for advice, and there were many. She never judged them but told them about Jesus.
Kristy loved to laugh and have fun. She always brought life and laughter with her. She especially loved to tease her dad. He called her papoose; she would answer him, "O.K., Chief".
She loved to entertain and decorate. She was very good at both of these.
She was a very thoughtful person that wanted to help people in their troubles or their everyday life. No one went unnoticed around her. She did many special things for many people. It was easy for her to forgive those that trespassed against her. She had a beautiful soul. She loved animals. She would feed any hungry animal that she found. She would buy food for people, put gas in their car, clean their houses, buy birthday cakes and gifts, anything to help someone in need.
Kristy was very close to her son. She taught him Christian values. She taught him to respect women and his elders, and to be good to all mankind and animals.
She was always there for her parents in their trials and sicknesses. She respected and obeyed them.
Many people that knew her,said she was the most thoughtful and caring person that they had ever met. A kind forgiving person that loved people and always wanted to be of help to anyone, no matter color, religion or creed.
Kristy's final resting place is in the Chester County Memory Gardens.
She leaves behind her son,her parents,her dog, church family,and a host of friends to cherish the memory of her life.
May God give her rest in His loving arms.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Tony Twidwell officiating. Burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue beginning at 12:00 Noon Saturday until 9:00 PM Saturday.
