Lantie Bell Alexander departed this life on Saturday, September 21, 2013, at the age of 94 years, 9 months, 9 days.
She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 12, 1918, the daughter of the late Herman and Mary Ann Davison Pipes. On March 23, 1935, she was united in marriage to George Gordy Alexander. He preceded her in death on November 25, 1997.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by a son, Chester Alexander and wife Mary of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; daughters, Johnnie Evelyn Rhoads of Blytheville, Arkansas, Pat Moses and husband Bobby of Round Rock, Texas, and Elaine Moore of Blytheville, Arkansas; brother, Charlie Pipes of Savannah, Tennessee; sister, June Davidson of Savannah, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews she dearly loved, and her Park Rest family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gerald Alexander and two infant sons; granddaughter, Cynthia Rhoads; brothers, Tom Pipes and Melvin Pipes; sisters, Bonnie Caldwell, Allie Jones, and Wilma Dildine.
