Larry Vance Easterling, age 64, of Middleton, passed from this life Thursday, February 19, 2015.
Born October 5, 1950 to Leroy and Ruth Vance Easterling in Indianola, MS, he was the husband of Marilyn Land Easterling who survives. Mr. Easterling was a graduate of Greenville High School (1968) and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi in 1972, known affectionately to Larry as Ole Miss. Moving to Middleton in 1989, Larry was the owner and proprietor of various small businesses serving the community. He was the founder and owner of Easterling Pest Control, before selling the business to long-time friend/brother/son/colleague, Richard Noe. Never one for sitting idle, “retirement” was most certainly short-lived, realizing there was much fun to be had delivering rural mail for the Middleton Post Office. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, Ole Miss Rebel sports, travelling with family, following the pursuits of his grandchildren and, of course his morning “coffee crewe” at McQueen's. Mr. Easterling was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Easterling is survived by 2 daughters, Laura Martin of Frisco, TX and Mary Helen Butler of Olive Branch, MS; 2 sons, Bo Hood of Indiana and Myles Russell of Corinth; 5 grandchildren, Korry Hood, Presley and Olivia Martin, Griffin and Josie Butler, and his special friend Richard Noe. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Freddy Easterling.
