Larry Arthur Franks

was born in Alcorn County, Mississippi on August 21, 1946 the son of the late Arthur Harold and Sadie Mae Dickey Franks.

Larry retired from Penske Company in Adamsville, Tennessee. He was a member of Union Grove Methodist Church and attended Pleasant Site Baptist Church. Larry was also a member of the Selmer Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed working, camping, fishing, and being with family. Larry was a remarkable human and had many friends.

He departed this life on Friday, July 16, 2021 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 25 days.

Larry is survived by his sister, Linda Franks Sharp of Wilmington, North Carolina; aunt, Doris Helen Dickey Michaels of Jackson, Tennessee; uncle, Alton Michaels of Jackson, Tennessee; special friend, Tommy Sharp of Leland, North Carolina; three nieces and three nephews; five great nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Danny Franks, Sr., a cousin whom he thought of like a sister, Melissa Dickey Cook, and his grandparents, Phillip McNeil Dickey, Delia Littlejohn Dickey, Georgianna Hatley Franks and Luther Harold Franks.
