Henderson, TN: Larry Dean Lard, age 70 passed away December 10, 2014 at Perry Community Hospital at Linden, TN.
He was born February 10, 1944 in Adamsville, the son of the late Archie Dean and Adaline Bonee Lard. He went to school at Adamsville. He worked as a heavy machine operator as a young man. He married Peggy Taylor in 1966 and they made their home near Henderson. He worked as a trucker for A.M. Cox Sawmill. He loved to hunt and fish.
Mr. Lard is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean Taylor Lard of Henderson; a son, Tommy Lard of Memphis; four daughters, Paula Dunnivant and husband Scottie of Lobelville and Teresa Vasquez and husband Jose, Tammy Pusser and husband Freddie and Deonna Morrison and husband Steve all of Henderson; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren and two sisters, Becky Young of Adamsville and Kathy Riley of Athens, AL; and a brother, Tommy Lard of Crump.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Bro. Gerald Smith officiating and burial will follow in Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday.
