Leland (Lee) Rudd was born August 8, 1938 in Bakersfield, CA the son of the late Lloyd and Gladys Riley Rudd.
Mr. Rudd was a graduate of Bakersfield High School in California. He also attended the Tennessee Techonology Center in Crump, TN to become an electrician. Mr. Rudd was employed in maintenance with General Electric in Selmer, TN for approximately 30 years. He was a former preacher and youth minister, and was a faithful member of Safe Harbor Church, where he taught Bible classes and sang. Mr. Rudd was an accomplished steel guitar player, but could play any type of guitar. He was a member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, and enjoyed gardening, wildlife videography, hunting, and woodworking. Mr. Rudd was a very generous man, giving to all he could who were in need.
Mr. Rudd departed this life on August 10, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 76 Years, 2 Days. He is survived by seven daughters: Debi Richardson and husband Mike of Mayfield, KY, Robin Skidmore and husband Charles of Minerva, OH, Annette Jackson and husband Jim of Bethel Springs, TN, Linda Plunk of Holly Springs, MS, Darlene Taylor and husband Ray of Old Hickory, TN, Ruth Bryant of Holly Springs, MS, and Jean Smyth of Seneca, FL; two sons, David Rudd and wife Tess of Jackson, TN and Jim Plunk and wife Kathy of Twin Falls, ID; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; a sister, Verna Rudd of Dallas-Ft. Worth, TX; a sister-in-law, Naomi Rudd of Flynt, MI; and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rudd was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Rudd.
