Leo Pinkstaff was born on October 30, 1933, the son of the late Leo Gerald and Leona Gladys Harper Pinkstaff. On October 4, 1952, he was united in marriage to Arnda Louise Woody, who survives. Leo departed this life on June 10, 2017, at the age of 83 years, 7 months, and 10 days.
Leo proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was the owner of the Savannah Country Club from 1964 to 2008. Leo was a life member of the Masonic Lodge in Chicago, Illinois and the Professional Golfers' Association. He has lived in Savannah, Tennessee since 1964.
Along with his wife Louise, Leo is survived by his son Wayne Pinkstaff and wife Carolyn of Savannah, Tennessee; brother, Jimmy Pinkstaff of Chicago, Illinois; grandchildren, Chezton Pinkstaff and his wife Carolyn and Derek Pinkstaff and his wife Jessica; and eight great grandchildren, Ashley Pinkstaff, Nicole Pinkstaff, Molly Pinkstaff, Bryson Fitts, Alyssa Bingham, Jayden Bingham, Cody Hansel, and Kyle Herndon.
In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his sisters, Emma Dot Zellers and Carolyn Sue Joos, and a brother, Cecil Ray Pinkstaff.
