LILLIE LUCILLE COSSEY AUSTIN

was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on December 4, 1920 the daughter of the late Authur and Sula Lynch Cossey.

On February 14, 1937 she was united in marriage to Floyd Austin, who preceded her in death. On March 22, 1940, she was united in marriage to her second husband, Gilbert Austin, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Austin was a homemaker and has also worked in a few restaurants. She was a member of the Nixon First Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed working outdoors with both flowers and gardening, and she loved the Lord and loved everyone as well.

She departed this life on February 11, 2015 at Savannah Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 94 years, 2 months, and 7 days.

She is survived by three daughters: Jo Jones and husband Bobby of Savannah, Tennessee; Robbie Jones of Savannah, Tennessee; Effie Franks and husband Bill of Union City, Tennessee. Three sons: James Austin of Savannah, Tennessee; Billy Austin and wife Patricia of Dresden, Tennessee; and John Austin.

Three sisters: Evelyn Conaway, Bernice Mae White, and G.V. Austin.

Twelve grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Floyd Junior Austin; one brother, Berlin Cossey; one sister, Edith Bevis; one son-in-law, Robert Jones; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Burgess Austin; and two great grandchildren, Krista Terry, and Jeffrey Hatley.
