Mrs. Lois Ruth Willoughby age 95 passed away Wednesday January 1, 2014 at her home in Henderson. She was born in Hardin County Tennessee, daughter of the late James and Melinda Phillips Ruth. She graduated from Chester County High School as the class Salutatorian. She was married to Clarence Willoughby in 1938. Mr. and Mrs. Willoughby made their home in Medon, Tennessee and later San Carlos CA. for over fifty years. Mr. Willoughby died on June 19, 1978. Grandma moved back to Chester County in 2001. A loving mother, grandmother, great grand mother, affectionately known as GRANDMA, by her family and many of her friends, very active physically and spiritually, and wealthy in health and spirituality. For the majority of her life she had been a homemaker, but had held a job in the public sector during her early years. She was a member of the Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Henderson. She enjoyed reading her Bible and attending church services whenever the doors were open. Her hobbies were crocheting, always admiring flowers, requesting a cut from plants, and later in life crafts and activities with her granddaughter, Krena Lynn.
She is survived by her daughters, Diane Saccapilltio of Henderson Tennessee, Beverly Sams (Rusty) of Caldwell Idaho; her son Danny Willoughby (Wendy) of San Jose CA; grandchildren, Yvonne Ellifson (Robert), Shena Visto, Kirk Saccapilltio (Angie), Elena Saccapilltio, Krena Lynn, D.G. Sams, Joel Willoughby (Angela), Jesse Willoughby (Lynna), Dennis Sams (Cindy), Josh Saccapilltio, James Willoughby; Great Grandchildren, Orion Ellifson, Marina Ellifson, Josiah Willoughby, Sariah Willoughby, Ryan Bonner, Brittany Bonner, Lois Claire Visto, Cortney Holloway, Cody Holloway, Warren Saccapilltio, Jazmen Segars, Kalena Segars, Rozlyn Segars, Dahlia Ross, Dre'Von Saccapilltio, Aniya Saccapilltio.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Willoughby was preceded in death by sisters, Birdie Franks, Pauline Franks, brothers Con Ruth, Elmer Ruth, Ose Ruth, Babe Ruth, grandson Jeremiah Saccapilltio, and grandson in laws, Otis Mills and Rodney Bonner .
