Lonzo McDaniel was born on September 23, 1935 in Savannah, Tennessee, the son of Coleman McDaniel, Sr. and Mary Dixon McDaniel, who preceded him in death.
He retired from General Motors Company, where he was employed as a production worker.
Mr. McDaniel departed this life on November 2, 2013, at Hardin Medical Center in Savannah, Tennessee, at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 10 days.
He is survived by a son, Yvon Ross of Indianapolis, Indiana; siblings, Elige McDaniel of Nashville, Tennessee, Jeanette Stephens of Savannah, Tennessee, John R. McDaniel and his wife, Carolyn of Flint, Michigan and Don McDaniel and his wife, Rachel of Paris, Tennessee; one grandchild, Isaiah Dingman and two great-grandchildren, Isaiah and Isaac Dingman; special nephew and caregiver, Julius Cherry; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Coleman McDaniel, Jr. and a sister, Mary Myrtle Cherry.
