Beech Bluff, TN: Lyndia Faye Russ White Young, age 76 passed away July 8, 2013 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was born and reared in Winnfield, LA the daughter of the late Arnaurd Columbus and Ella Mae Barton Russ. She went to school in Louisiana and graduated Winnfield High School in 1954. She married Houston Young in 2006. They made their home in the Beech Bluff Community of Chester County. She worked at I Appeal in Scottshill and Henderson and at Maytag in Jackson in 2002 and then worked for the Community Corrections in Henderson for a while. She was a member of the New Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Young loved reading and going to church.
She is survived by her husband, Houston Young of Beech Bluff; a son, Edward White and wife Angie of Scottshill, TN and two daughters, Mylinda Tyner of Martin, TN and Laura White of Scotts Hill, TN; five grandchildren, Macie White, Hannah White, Laura Davis, Ellen Vaughn and Lyndia Gilbert and two great grandchildren, Ainsley Phillips and Braxton Dillard.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Ronnie Sells and Bobby Bray officiating and burial will follow in New Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Tuesday.
