Marie Hubbard

MARIE BROWN HUBBARD

was born in Pittsboro, Mississippi on June 7, 1917 the daughter of the late Hubert Franklin and Ola Kirk Bowling Brown.

On May 14, 1939 she was united in marriage to Frank Hubbard, who preceded his wife in death on August 17, 1979.

Mrs. Hubbard retired from Atlanta Gas & Light Company where she worked in customer service. She was a member of Jefferson Presbyterian Church in Jefferson, Georgia. Mrs. Hubbard loved her work, the mountains, antiquing, reading, decorating, collecting glass and especially loved her family and her pets. She was a former resident of Gaston Springs, Mississippi, Pittsboro, Mississippi, Atlanta, Georgia, Hayesville, North Carolina, Franklin, North Carolina, Calhoun City, Mississippi and Jefferson, Georgia.

Mrs. Hubbard departed this life on December 8, 2013 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 96 years, 6 months and 1 day.

She is survived by one sister, Kirk Brown Darnell and her husband Tom of Savannah, Tennessee

two brothers, Frank Brown of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Jim Brown and his wife Patsy of Stockbridge, Georgia

two sisters in law, Yvonne B. Brown and Clemmie B. Brown, both of Calhoun City, Mississippi

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Prentice D. Brown and Thomas Wilbur Brown and one sister, Christine Brown Hammersley Bekkering
