Marion Earline Murray was born May 10, 1925 in Bethel Springs, TN the daughter of the late Oscar and Nellie Yarbrough Plunk. Mrs. Murray departed this life on August 13, 2014 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 89 Years, 3 Months, 3 Days. She had lived in the Murray Hill Community since she was 17.
She was united in marriage to Mancel M. Murray on May 16, 1942. Mr. Murray preceded her in death on January 18, 2000.
Mrs. Murray was a member of Purdy Presbyterian Church. She made numerous quilts during her lifetime and had quilted with the Needles and Pins Quilting Club. Other than quilting, she enjoyed crocheting, gardening, flowers, and riding horses until her health began to limit her activities. Foremost, her love for her family was always expressed not only in word but in deed.
She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Murray Ramstack and husband Bill of Bethel Springs, TN; two grandchildren, Brandi Gray Moore and husband Jeff, Jeremy Gray and wife Hope; 10 great-grandchildren, Mollie Grayce and Jep Moore, Triston, Dylan, Aiden, Browning, Remington, and Gracie Gray, Christi and Ty Hurst; three sisters, Camilla Felker of Selmer, TN, Imogene Johnson of Bethel Springs, TN, Billie Smith of California; two brothers, Glen Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN, Roderic Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN; other special family and friends, Mike and Marilyn Plunk, Leroy and Kathy Johnson, Steve Miller, Dan and Marilyn Hicks, Dewey and Brenda Gray, and Debbie Church along with a host of other extended family and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by two brothers, R. L. Plunk and infant Oscar Lafayette Plunk.
