Mary Charlene Wiggins Morris, age 79, of Bolivar, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Bobby Joe Morris, who survives, she was retired from the Hardeman County School system as a cafeteria manager at Bolivar Central High School. She was born Wednesday, November 3, 1937 in Hardeman County, daughter of the late Charley Austin Wiggins and Willie Smith Wiggins and lived all of her life here in the county. She enjoyed cooking and quilting, and her family described her as a good woman, loving her family, her church family and all her grandchildren. Mrs. Morris was a member of Forrest Hill Pentecostal Church.
In addition to her husband, whom she married on June 30, 1956, survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Rita Morris Irvin (Mickey) of Saulsbury and Anith Morris Clark (Tim) of Medina; a son and his wife, Lynn Anthony Morris (Karol) of Bolivar; a sister, Bernice Vaughn of Bolivar; three brothers and their wives, Henderson Wiggins (Johnnie) of Beech Bluff, Edwin Wiggins (Dottie) of Bolivar and Donald Wiggins (Jerline) of Bolivar; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Zachery Lane Edmundson; a grandson, Jonathan Ray Clark; 2 sisters, Althea Sipes and Jettie Rose Knight; and 2 brothers, Neely and Vernon Wiggins. Memorial donations in her name may be made to the Forrest Hill Pentecostal Church.
