Mary Ann Overton

Mary Nell Rumbaugh Overton was born September 19, 1925 in Fulton, MS the daughter of the late Ray and Freda Smith Rumbaugh. Mrs. Overton died Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama at the age of 88 Years, 5 Months, 18 Days. She was married to Virgil G. Overton and he preceded her in death March 9, 2005. Mrs. Overton, a homemaker, was a member of Salem Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Virgie Nell Overton Gifford of Florence, AL,
2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, brother, Howard Rumbaugh of Waynesboro, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Overton was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Luna.

Services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors Chapel in Collinwood, Tennessee, withDaniel Michael officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery in Collinwood with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 1:30 until service time at 3:00 at the funeral home.

Grandsons and friends will serve as pallbearers.
