MAX TUCKER
Henderson, TN: Wylie Max Tucker, age 87 passed away April 9, 2014 at Sterling House Assisted Living in Goodlettsville, TN.
He was born February 26, 1927 and reared in Chester County, the son of the late Wylie Edgar and Ethel Aradney Wright Tucker. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1945 and entered the U.S. Army and served in Italy. He married Ruby Nell Johnson in 1949 and they made their home in the Roby Community where he farmed. He worked in production at Quality Manufacturing until he retired. Mrs. Tucker died in 2000. He continued to farm until 2010, when he moved to Goodlettsville to make his home near his daughters. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
He is survived by two daughters, Sherry George and husband David of Franklin, TN and Deb Baca and husband Rick of Hendersonville, TN; six grandchildren, Bree Maxedon, Brandice Searcy, Jason George, Justin George, Tiera Baca and Taylor Baca and three great grandchildren, Jaxon Searcy, Beckett Barry and Jameson George and three sisters, Betty Jo Richardson of Enville, Janette Bullman of Olive Branch, MS and Faye Morris of Enville.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with Sammy McAdams officiating and burial will follow in Roby Cemetery in Chester County.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday.
