Melissa Faye Pigg

Melissa Faye Brewer Pigg of Iron City, TN, was born September 30, 1959 in Waynesboro, TN, the daughter of the late Dexter and Doris Jean Ells Brewer. She married Lesley Carmel Pigg, Jr., March 20, 1981.

Mrs. Pigg departed this life Monday, July 3, 2017 at her home at the age of 57 Years, 9 Months, 3 Days.

She is survived by her husband, Lesley Carmel Pigg, Jr. of Iron City, TN; son, Stefan Pigg and wife, Stacy of Iron City, TN; daughters, Angel Cloninger and husband, Tim of Lavergne, TN, Shelly Prasad and husband, David of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Blake, Raleigh, Priya, Jeya, Hannah, Abby, Grace and Savannah; great-grandchildren, Hunter, Kamdyn and Kamyrn; brothers, Loyd Brewer of Collinwood, TN, Curtis Brewer of Waynesboro, TN; sisters, Teresa Carney of Bowling Green, KY, Jennie Sapp of Hohenwald, TN, Vanessa Brewer of Iron City, TN, Delores Pete Davis of Waynesboro, TN, Remona Davis of Loretto, TN; nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pigg was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Thompson.

Services will be Friday, July 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Railroad Cemetery, Iron City, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County directing. Visitation will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, July 7, 2017 from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tim Cloninger, Blake Pigg, Davy Eddington, Stefan Pigg, Robert Givens and Brandon Pigg.
