Mennie Imagean West Nard

Mennie Imagean West Nard was born November 19, 1937 in Collinwood, TN the daughter of the late Herman Ross West and Willodean Scott West.

She was united in marriage to the late William Douglas Nard on February 21, 1959. Mr. Nard preceded her in death on December,25 2010.

Mrs. Nard departed this life on May 23, 2018 at El Reposo Nursing Facility in Florence, Alabama at the age of 80 Years, 6 Months, 4 Days and was a member of the Bethel Grove Church in Florence, AL.

She is survived by three sons, Willam David Nard and wife Celesia of Union Springs, AL and Randy Eugene Nard of Iron City TN , Larry Ray Nard both of Florence, AL; a daughter, Sandra Jean Morgan of Iron City, TN; two brothers, Johnny West of Florence, Al, and Donnie West of Iron City TN, three sisters, Betty Givens of Iron City, TN, Barbara Burns of Florence, AL, Martha Burns of Selmer, TN; nine grandchildren, Mellissa Bryant, Angela Chapman, April Surgeon, Chris Morgan, Greg Nard, Kayla Nard, Richard Nard, Dylan Nard, Ally Nard; nine great grandchildren, Wendy Bryant, Danny Bryant, Whitney Bryant, Racheal Bryant, Charles Bryant, Zayle Sewell, Josh Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman, Elijah Chapman, Arlo Brush; and one great great granchild

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Nard was preceded in death by a brother, Herman Ross Jr.; a sister, Francis Montgomery; and a great great granchild Lucas Scott Surgeon

Services will be held on May 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors at Collinwood in Collinwood, Tennessee, with Tim Hanback officiating. Burial will follow in the Rogers Chapel Cemetery in Florence,AL with Shackelford Funeral Dirctors in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:30-9:00 PM and Saturday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Terry nStrait, David Surgeon, Chris Morgan, Aaron Nard, Shane Chapman, and Josh Chapman. Honorary pallbearers are Dylan Nard and Danny Bryant.
