Michael Todd Congiardo was born October 25, 1964 in Jackson, TN the son of Patricia Prather Congiardo and the late Samuel Frank Congiardo, Jr.
Mike graduated Adamsville High School in 1982, pursued his love of music at Murray State University in Kentucky with a Bachelor's of Music Education and then at the University of Alabama with a Master's of Music Performance. One could say that music and band directing is a family passion, Mike was a band director for 23 years just like his late father, his uncle Greg and brother Frankie.
For the past few years, Mike or "Mr. C." as he was affectionately known by his band students, was the band director at Madison Academic Magnet High School in Jackson, Tennessee. Not only was "Mr. C." the band director: he was a mentor, motivator, counselor, developer of musical talents, saxophone player, a well-respected teacher but most of all he was a friend.
In his spare time, you could often find Mike at his favorite fishing spots or spending time with his family, girlfriend and friends. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Humboldt, Tennessee.
Mike departed this life on March 21, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 50 Years, 1 Month, 24 Days. He is survived by his mother, Pat Congiardo of Selmer, TN; a brother, Frankie Congiardo and wife Debra of Adamsville, TN; nephew, Zach Congiardo of Adamsville, TN; niece, Darby Congiardo of Adamsville, TN; girlfriend, Wendy Lovett of Murray, KY; uncles and aunts, Greg and Theresa Stover of Medon, TN, Johnny and Linda Blakely of Ramer, TN, Dr. Marshall and Martha Priest of Boise, ID; and a host of extended family and friends.
