Milton Nelson “Buddy” Lipford, 88, passed away peacefully at his home in Middleton Thursday evening, June 5, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on June 3, 1926 in Collierville, Tennessee to Manford and Mattie Lipford and lived most of his life in Hardeman County.
Mr. Lipford is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Frances Ann Lipford; five children: Sandra Lipford Schuettinger (Bud), Sam Lipford (Janice), Stephen Lipford, Debbi Brown (Danny) and John Lipford (Tammy); 14 grandchildren: Wyatt Whaley, Angie Antwine, CarolAnn Janca, Penny Glidewell, Brad Lipford, Toby Parsons, Nekki Horne, Kimely Taylor, Eric Lipford, Leah Farris, Kristen Murry, Chad Lipford, Shelby Lipford and John Ryan Lipford; 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
He is also survived by a sister: Helen Brown; four brothers: Tommy McCommon, Don Lipford, Frankie Lipford and Bobby Lipford.
Mr. Lipford retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers, Memphis Division after 31 years of service. After retiring from the Corps, he ran his own business, Lipford’s Small Engine Repair. He was also a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Middleton.
