Mrs. Isbell passed away Saturday night, August 12, 2017, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Minnie Carolyn Isbell was born Sunday, November 9, 1941, to the late Thomas "Mack" Grantham and Dollie Jones Grantham, in Hardeman County, TN. On March 11, 1989 she married Wayne V. Isbell of Hornsby. In 1997, she retired from Western Mental Health Institute as a dietary supervisor. She was a member of the Dixie Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to and having yard sales, collecting cookie jars and dolls, watching shows like "Alaskan Bush People" and "Mountain Men", and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She lived all of her life in Hardeman County.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne V. Isbell of Hornsby; four sons, Robert Lynn Allen(Kellie) of Hornsby, Jason Wayne Newman(Tammy) of Savannah, James Isbell(Heidi) of Loveland, OH, Robert A. Isbell(Sheila) of Ardmore, OK; five grandchildren, Tamara Allen, Janson Newman, Christina Isbell, James A. Isbell, and Magdeline Isbell; two great-grandchildren, Landon Newman, and Abigail Stagner; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas "Mack" Grantham, and Dollie Jones Grantham; two sisters, and four brothers.
