Mittie Elois Staggs

Mittie Elois Staggs was born August 10, 1927 in Lawrenceburg, TN the daughter of the late Jonus and Bessie Minnie Fisher Novem.
She was united in marriage to Buddy A.L. Staggs on May 10, 1952 and he preceeded her in death in 2004. Ms. Mittie was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and departed this life on June 22, 2015 at the Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 87 Years, 10 Months, 12 Days.
She is survived by four daughters, Lorene Griggs, Linda Griggs and husband Alvin , Joan Bunch and Janice Staggs all of Waynesboro. Six sons, Gary Staggs and wife Donna , Charlie Staggs, Frank Staggs all of Collinwood, TN, Terry Staggs , Roger Staggs and Dennis Staggs all of Waynesboro, TN; brother, Grady Novem of Lawrenceburg, TN, a sister, Becky Bivens of Lawrenceburg, TN; 13 Grandchildren, 30 Great Grand children and 6 Great- Great Grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Staggs was preceded in death by ,two sons David and Walter Staggs,one daughter Marilyn, a brother Arlon Novem, two Sons-in law George Griggs and Larry Bunch ,and two grandsons Buddy Griggs,and Chris Griggs.
Services will be held on June 24, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors, Collinwood, Tennessee, with Dewane Staggs officiating. Burial will follow in the McGlamery Cemetery at Collinwood, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors of Wayne County Directing. Pallbearers will be R.D. Horton,Donny Bunch, Richard Griggs,Patrick Staggs,Cody Reeves,Junior Griggs
