MYRTLE STANFILL NIXON
was born in Sardis, Tennessee on January 17, 1927 the daughter of the late Riley Clayton and Timma Melissa Johnson Stanfill.
On January 16, 1944 she was united in marriage to L. D. Nixon, who preceded his wife in death on February 25, 2002.
Mrs. Nixon retired from Garan Sportswear. She was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Nixon wanted everyone to know how much she loved her family and considered Terry and Linda Qualls as part of her family.
She departed this life on April 5, 2014 in Hohenwald, Tennessee at the age of 87 years, 2 months and 19 days.
Mrs. Nixon is survived by her children, Ann English and her husband Jamie of Hohenwald, Tennessee, Tommy Nixon of Morris Chapel, Tennessee, Danny Nixon of Haynesville, Louisiana and Charlotte Webb and her husband John of Henderson, Tennessee
ten grandchildren, Sharon Summers, Jamie English, Jr., Joe Nixon, Priscilla Corley, Kelly Brewer, Dusty Nixon, Angela Simms, Laura LeBlanc, Cindy Webb and Jennifer Stevens
26 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren
one brother, James Stanfill of Savannah, Tennessee
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two children, Lanny Dee Nixon and Dewey Wayne Nixon, three brothers, Floyd Stanfill, Roy Lee Stanfill and R. C. Stanfill and four sisters, Alma Lindsey, Alice Durham, Bernice Brewer and Nellie Newman
