Mrs. Nannie B. Steadman, age 75 of Bolivar, Tennessee, passed from this life Tuesday afternoon, November 11, 2014 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.
Mrs. Steadman was born in Hardeman County September 9, 1939 to the late J. D. and Katherine Daniel Derryberry, and lived there all her life. On October 31, 1964, she was united in marriage to Mr. John Wayne Steadman, Sr., who preceded her in death April 14, 2009. Prior to retirement, she worked as a factory worker in the garment industry. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed growing flowers, playing cards and watching Memphis Grizzlies basketball games. First and foremost, she loved her family. She was a member of the Sanford Hill Baptist Church and a former member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Steadman of Henderson, Randy Doyle and wife Karen of New Brunswick, TX and Tim Doyle of Henderson; a sister, Mary Ethel Levi of Murfreesboro; a brother, Dossie Derryberry of Lonoke, Arkansas; and grandchildren, Tyler Doyle and Jessica Doyle.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marveline King; and a brother, Ray Derryberry.
