Neal Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN was born July 11, 1948 a son of Velma Smith Gettel and the late Robert Floyd Plunk. He departed this life on March 4, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 66 Years, 7 Months, 21 Days.
Neal was united in marriage to Brenda Payne on November 29, 1966. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. He was well known for his smile and genuine kindness that he always exhibited.
Neal was a member of Forty Forks Baptist Church. He was a respected Building Contractor who thoroughly enjoyed his work. Over the last few years, he and his wife Brenda had the opportunity to do work camping in the eastern United States, predominately in New York and Massachusetts. His hobby was woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Brenda Plunk of Bethel Springs, TN; three children, Mark Plunk and wife Suzanne of Bethel Springs, Sheri Plunk of Bethel Springs, Troy Plunk and wife Lynn of Selmer, TN; his mother, Velma Gettel of Bethel Springs; four grandchildren, Corey Plunk and wife Kimberly, Ethan Plunk and wife Chandler, Tucker Plunk, Laini Plunk; two great grandchildren, Kinsley Plunk, Caston Plunk; two sisters, Edith Martin of Morris Chapel, TN, Doris Hamilton of Bethel Springs, a brother, James Plunk of Finger, TN and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to his father, Mr. Plunk was preceded in death by two brothers, Buford Ray Plunk, Max Allen Plunk.
