NORMAN PIERCE
Pinson, TN: Norman Pierce age 78 passed away December 23, 2013 at the Forest Cove Nursing Home.
He was born September 11, 1935 in Franklin, TN and the Nashville area the son of the late Norman Virgil and Louise Ann Holt Pierce. He went to school in the Nashville area. Mr. Pierce followed his father in the trucking business and worked as a truck driver all of his working career. He served for six months in the U.S. Army in transportation as a truck driver.
Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife, Peggy Ann Moore Pierce of Pinson; three sons, Norman Eugene "Bo" Pierce of Pinson, Terry G. Pierce of Henderson and Edgar Alan Pierce of Pinson and a daughter, Katherine Ann Wood of Bemis; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Sue Davis of Chapel Hill, TN and Lee Larid of Hendersonville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Billy Pierce, Tommy Pierce and William Pierce and two sisters, Ann Pruitt and Patsy Brown.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Casey Chapel with James Taylor officiating and burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Henderson County, TN.
The family will receive friends at Casey Chapel 11:00 AM until the service at 2:00 PM on Friday.
