Olliedean Kennedy

She was born September 29, 1918 in Chester County, TN the daughter of the late Frank Evans and Ada Dickson Benson. She attended School in Sardis and Chester County and was married to Clifford Lee Kennedy 1935. They made their home in Chester County. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and had worked at the East and West Chester Elementary Schools in the cafeteria and also at I-Apparel. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henderson. She was very family-oriented.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Gaddy of Henderson, TN; a son, Ronald Wayne Kennedy of Warner Robins, Ga; four sisters, Mayrene Essary of Jackson, Tn, Marie Benson of Reagan, Tn, Zula Bailey of Reagan, Tn. and Mildred Bivens of Reagan, TN.; four brothers, J.W. Benson of Reagan, TN, Johnny Benson of Reagan, Tn, Jerry Benson of Reagan, Tn, David Benson of Alabama; seven grandchildren, Bonita Keltner and husband Bo, Cathy Fergerson and husband Danny, David Kennedy and wife Becky, Steven Kennedy and wife Denise, Kai Molencamp, Sarah Franklin and husband Allen, Freddy Brant and wife Mistie, 11 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by one son, Royce Clifford Kennedy, a son-in-law, Billy Neal Gaddy; a daughter-in-law, Carol Kennedy; three brothers, D.C. Benson, Frank Benson, and Warren Benson a sister, Mary Nell Cherry; a grandchild, Patrick Kennedy.

Services will be held Sunday October 6, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors-Johnson Chapel in Henderson, Tennessee, with Bro. Mike Hollaway officiating. Burial will follow in the Chester County Memory Gardens at Henderson, Tennessee.
